    Hi everybody!

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) starts in just under two weeks! NaNoWriMo is “a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.” That’s according to the website.  https://nanowrimo.org/

Here’s the actual ‘what it is’ explanation:

National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days. Now, each year on November 1, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with 50,000 words of a brand new novel. They enter the month as elementary school teachers, mechanics, or stay-at-home parents. They leave novelists.

I am going to draft off of the energy of NaNoWriMo. In cycling, drafting occurs when a cyclist moves into an area of low pressure behind another cyclist, reducing the wind resistance and the amount of energy required to pedal. Over the course of a ride, everyone in the group can experience drafting benefits by rotating the lead rider to the back of the pack, or riding in a pace line.

If you want to use November to get organized, get writing, get further in your writing or GET IT DONE (my personal goal), let’s do it together!

We can inspire, motivate and nudge each other. We can also sit together in public places, for those who enjoy writing together in public places. Or for those who enjoy writer’s block more when shared with other writers in public places.

If you’re interested, let us know here and I’ll schedule a preliminary virtual conversation where we can discuss and plan how we would like to proceed (virtually, in-person, both virtually and in-person). We can fine-tune November to fit our exact writing and group support needs.

    Hope your writing is productive!

    donna
